Our
History

Established in 2018, PKR Offshore (PKRO) has since grown into one of the leading offshore vessel owners in Taiwan, operating a diverse fleet of vessels, supporting the fast-growing offshore wind market. Leveraging on our extensive track record in specialized offshore marine vessels, we have successfully serviced major wind clients during the stages of development, construction, commissioning and O&M, for the various offshore wind farms in Taiwan. We are part of the Singapore-based, Marco Polo Marine Ltd (MPM), which was established in 1991 and listed on the Singapore Exchange since 2007. MPM is a reputable integrated marine logistics group, with key focuses on ship chartering, shipyard operations and offshore wind.

Company Milestones
  • 2018
    Company was first established in Taipei under “POSH Kerry Renewables” to focus on the Offshore Wind Industry in Taiwan.
    Secured its first vessel charter with a survey company to support Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan.
  • 2019
    Secured successive charters to provide Guard Vessel, Noise Mitigation Vessel and Towing Tug for Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan.
    Successfully imported two units of CTVs into Taiwan and reflagged them to the Taiwanese flag to support the Formosa 1 Phase 2 Offshore Wind Farm.
  • 2020
    Set up our 2nd office at Taichung for the ease of supporting our offshore fleet by our Fleet Management Team.
    Imported its 1st Anchor-Handling Tug (AHT) “Pahlawan” and successfully reflagged her to the Taiwanese flag for a Guard Vessel Charter to support the Greater Changhua Offshore Wind Farm.
    Purchased a 2nd AHT “Gaya” for the same charter in the Greater Changhua Offshore Wind Farm.
  • 2022
    “PKR Offshore” was acquired by Marco Polo Marine Group, an Integrated Marine Logistics Group based in Singapore and listed in the Singapore Stock Exchange, with key focuses on Ship Chartering, Shipyard Operations and Offshore Wind.
    Announcement on Company’s decision to build, own, and operate a new Commissioning Service Operations Vessel (CSOV) for the Asia-Pacific region.

    2023
    Signed MOU with ‘K’ Line Wind Service, Ltd (KWS) to explore vessel opportunities in the Japanese Offshore Wind Market.
    Forged Strategic Partnership with NSEL for the Offshore Wind Industry in South Korea.
    Secured 3-Year Framework Agreement with Vestas Taiwan Co., Ltd for our new CSOV, to support their projects across various offshore wind farms in the Asia Pacific region.

    2024
    Secured the Asia-Pacific CTV Framework Agreement with Siemens Gamesa for Offshore Wind projects spanning Taiwan and Korea.
    Invested in 2 new modern CTVs, in line with the Company’s fleet expansion plans.
    Commenced maiden CTV charter for Jeongnam 1 Offshore Wind Farm, marking the Company’s successful entry into the new South Korean market, with a Korean-flagged vessel.
